Most people seem to love it or hate it…

I think it the quality that makes all the difference.

Girl, I here you, You tried it and it was fishy! or you tried it and it was so sweet that you nearly vomited. Why do they load it when vanilla syrup? YUCK.

Well I’ve been there and hated Matcha too, BUT then I made it myself how it is traditionally with ceremominal grade Matcha and gave it a twist.

and if you have PCOS, you are going to want to listen to this one.

Look I am a coffee girl, I loveeeee coffee, but I cannot handle it every day, I hate the afternoon crashes and how it affects my blood sugar which affects my mood, skin and energy.

Matcha doesn’t spike blood sugar levels like coffee does and the caffeine in Matcha is slow releasing so no afternoon crashes like coffee gives you.

This has been tested by yours truly and the difference is massive.

So no I won’t be quitting coffee for good, but I definitely have it less. When I was in the midst of my healing journey and had PCOS I did quit coffee for some time to support my body.

If you are struggling with PCOS I highly recommend switching to Matcha or remove all caffeine all together if that suits you more.

I Love the focus that comes with Matcha, and as a solo mama who runs a business and still wants to workout and look after myself, I do need some caffeine from time to time to get through the day.

Health doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

Why should i avoid coffee when healing pcos or acne?

PCOS, (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) is a metabolic disorder that affects your hormones. Insulin & Testosterone to be specific, which affects your cycle, ovulation and fertility.

The MAIN problem with PCOS is BLOOD SUGAR. Now your GP probably didnt tell you this, because they likely didn’t know. SHOCK.

They will tell you to eat less and workout harder, which can actually make PCOS a lot worse. Most women with PCOS are burnt out, need more calories but better food choices and working out only at certain times of the month that suits there biology - their infradian rhythm. I did a whole Masterclass on this for you!

MASTERCLASS

The main thing to do when healing PCOS is regulate blood sugar and increase insulin sensitivity - we do this in my PROGRAMME.

THE pcos RECIPE

  • 1/2 tsp Matcha powder

  • Pinch/1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder

  • Pinch/1/4 tsp Liquorice powder

  • 1 Cup Coconut milk or Raw cows milk

  • 1 tsp Raw honey (optional) I often leave it out but somedays, especially luteal I want!

method

  • Add matcha to a cup

  • Add a dash of water

  • Mix with your bamboo whisk otherwise a teaspoon will do

  • Make a watery paste

  • Add the cinnamon and liquorice *optional — you could also add some vanilla here oooo that sounds good

  • Heat some milk, I have a milk frother

  • Pour over

  • Add honey if you like it sweet

  • Enjoy

cinnamon —

Regulates blood sugar, prevents big spikes, which helps you feel more grounded and lowers your symtpoms.

I would suggest anytime you eat something sweet, add cinnamon, especially if you have PCOS.

liquorice —

Liquorice is an incredible herb and has and endless list of health benefits. It is the best herb for dealing with PCOS.

Combined with other herbs, diet changes, lifestyle changes, healing the liver and supporting insulin - PCOS is curable!
